As a fourteen year old in 1978, I watched Kenny Roberts win the 500CC World Championship and knew I wanted to ride motorcycles. Eight years later I bought my first street bike, a 1986 Suzuki GS550ES. I was hooked and have been riding sportbikes ever since. My current ride is a 2004 Honda CBR1000RR, with a number of fun modifications that make it a little faster, a little quicker, and a bit more nimble than it was in the showroom. While I enjoy weekend canyon runs with my friends, my “drug of choice” is the track. Whatever the case, to this day I like to go fast as I can as safely as I can…anyone who loves to ride the way I do will understand exactly what that means.
