Blue Ridge Racing Stage II Adventure Tool Kit

More bank for your buck

The Specs -

It's not often you can buy a bumbag/fenderbag/toolkit all in one. It's even rarer to find a good quality one! The Blue Ridge Racing Adventure Kit is designed to be worn around your waist as a standard bumbag, or by removing the belt by way of the heavy duty Velcro and web belt attachments the bag can then be attached to your rear fender like a standard tool bag. Four, metal reinforced eyelets are already placed in the bottom of the bag for your mounting convenience. The double stitched bag is made out of heavy duty ballistic nylon with heavy duty No. 10 SPT zips & fasteners and two compression straps that go around the bag to hold the whole piece of kit secure. Inside the bag you also find a padded accessory pocket with key clip & sections for wallet, cell phone & GPS, clear vinyl map pocket, loose item pouch for spares such as master links, jets, extra fasteners, etc., extra elastic loops to secure other tools and integrated workbench.

The basic toolkit itself consists of, you ready for this - a Sliding T-Handle Tool Set, Open-end Combination Wrenches (8x10, 12x13, 12x14), Safety Wire, Zip Ties, Duct Tape, Electrical Tape, Lock Tight, Low Pressure Tire Gauge, 15' Tow Strap, High Intensity LED Flashlight with Visor Clip, Storm Proof Lighter, QuickSteel Steel Reinforced Epoxy Putty and even a bolt kit to attach it to your fender. You can also buy add-ons like the T-7 Tire Tools, Co2 Inflator, Aluminum Body Hand Pump, Tube Patch Kit and a BRR Multi-Tool.

Size wise the complete tool kit is a relatively compact 10"x6"x4.2" and costs around the $234.95 U.S. mark depending on which options you go for!

The Verdict -

Ok for starters she's a heavy piece of kit at around the 4.5 lbs mark and once you add your own personal bits and pieces she'll only get heavier! But it's not really noticeable with the padding on the belt and once you've got it set up right she sit's pretty well.

The tools are good quality; none of this cheap rubbish often associated with ready made tool kits and all are specially selected and/or sourced by Blue Ridge Racing for strength and quality. But even with the plethora of tools you'll find inside the kit, there's still plenty of room for you to add stuff. The myriad of elastic loops, pockets and pouches offers you with a multitude of choices as to where and how you'll fit your gear in.

The bag is thick quality nylon. Double stitched where it's needed, water resistant lining on the inside and it opens up almost completely to allow easy excess to all the tools inside.

Check out the complete range at www.blueridgeracing.com, theirs a whole host of toolkit options to choose from; competition - low-profile for riders planning shorter outings or for racing applications, enduro - mid-sized design with enough room for our tools plus space for additional items, adventure - designed for longer outings where additional gear is necessary plus street, off-road, ATV and snow mobile, the possibilities are endless!

Oh yeah, my rating! I'll give it an 8 outta 10 - a good piece of kit with a wide variance of possibilities.
