Draggin Jeans Molten Camo

'Comfortable, Casual, Stylish'

It's a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning and you're cruisin' down the road at a great rate of knots without a care in the world when all of a sudden a dog runs out in front of you and the next thing you know you're sliding down the bitumen on your backside.

Not a great scenario - unless you happen to be wearing a pair of pants that are tested during a 140 kilometer slide...or 300 metres...dragged behind a modified dragster...while being worn!

And the bloke felt confident enough to do it again. Another test was done with another 'victim' being dragged behind a Suzuki Bandit. And that 'victim' was the owner of the company! Now that’s what's known as having faith in your product!

The company isn't called 'Draggin' Jeans' by mistake!

And just like your favorite pair of jeans they're as comfortable as all get out as well. The double thickness, fully breathable, heavy duty drill cotton outer will hold up to the scrapes and abuse of normal everyday wear. A myriad of pockets - 2 on the front at the waist, 2 on the butt and two Velcro flapped pockets on the upper thighs means that no matter how much junk you like to carry with you, you'll always have a place to stash it. The extra strong zip and precision engineered button means they'll stay up around your waist, and the extra length in the legs stops any wayward breezes creeping up your legs and keeps your ankles protected.

But it's the lining inside that makes them special. Kevlar® is a man made fibre that offers protection from abrasion, cuts, heat, and flame resistance up to 400 degrees Celsius. Pound for pound it's five times stronger than steel and when it's in the form of the soft woven, lightweight, knitted Kevlar® fabric, its high tensile strength means that you're well protected during any unexpected trips down the tarmac. It also offers you the added bonus of protection from most chemicals, low electrical conductivity, and high flame resistance; up to 400 degrees Celsius and low heat shrinkage.

And with them being maintenance free, machine washable and quick drying means that you have no excuses for wearing them every time you head out for a ride!

The camo combat range of pants come in a variety of colours including Candy (pink), Flame Orange, Stingers Yellow, Arctic Blue, Urban, Jungle Green and Desert as well as the Moltens with waist sizes for men of 28 - 52 inches (71 - 132 cms) and ladies waist 26 - 44 inches (65 - 110 cms). Leg lengths are a standard 34 inches (86 cms) for men and 32inches (81cms) for ladies.

Ok, that's all the tech stuff - but what are they actually like?

I live in stretch jeans 99.99% of the time. Hey, I'm a child of the 80's, so shoot me! As a result I had to change over my original pair for a pair the next size up to give me a range of movement that I felt comfortable in. No biggy, the staff at Draggin Jeans changed them over without any hassles - all it took was a quick email.

The pockets are a good size, plenty of room to stash your wallet, keys, phone and the like. The only thing missing is that small pocket you put you small change in. If you need to carry change for toll roads, you'll need to find another option.

The Kevlar lining is surprisingly soft, although not quite soft enough to be riding 'sans underwear' as you may notice a small amount of chafing in unfortunate places.

Cost wise you'll be looking at around AU$220, but it's a small price to pay to hold you body in one piece You can check out the complete range of Draggin Jeans cams, jeans and jackets at DragginsJeans.com.au.
