A very pleasant ride through the country. Good road surface, with a few narrow sections. There are two corners towards the Rathdowney end that are sharper than you expect. Both are well signposted with 40 kph advisory signs, but in summer the surface can melt. Here are a few suggestions to add enjoyment ot the ride: 1 - if leaving from the Boonah end, head west towards Lake Moogerah, turn left at the Lake Moogerah turn off (8k's from Boonah), and follow this raod until uou join back on the Boonah/Rathdowney Road. This loop adds 39k's to the ride (so it could almost be a separate ride), but it is well worth it. Has some good sweepers shortly after turning left towards Lake Moogerah, then a few great twisties near the lake. 2 - Near the Rathdowney side, take the road to Barney View. This is a slow, narrow road, often with gravel on the corners, but you will be riding for the great view. Spectacular.
