AutoMotoPhoto

If you've ever seen AMA, MotoGP or WSBK photos, you've no doubt seen the work of Andrew Wheeler. ONtheTHROTTLE has a great interview with Mr. Wheeler. He talks about his favorite shots and even give some equipment and other pointers to aspiring photographers.

Following American Road Racing

At SMR we are definitely fans of motorcycle road racing - closely following both MotoGP and World Superbike. What's sad is that it's nearly impossible to follow our own domestic road racing series.

Brammo test run for TTXGP

I found these videos online showing Brammo running their bike for the TTXGP. TTXGP is billed as the world first zero carbon GP race. It's great to see these new electric bikes proving themselves in race conditions just like their internal combustion counterparts.

Motoczyz to race TTXGP?

A few days ago I caught a documentary on HD Theather about the making of the Motoczysz C1 990. Since the show was a bit old, I headed over to their website so see the latest. The website and blog looks to be frozen in time around October of '08 except for one blog post on Mar 25, 2009.

As a result, we tend to browse motorcycle classified listings on a semi-regular basis. Now instead of simply emailing listings for unique motorcycles that we find around the office, we are going to be posting them here as well.

Norton 961 Commando

The Norton name has changed hands several times since its heyday. It looks like the newest UK-based owner is planning to bring Kenny Dreer's 961 Commando to life. Dreer designed the 961 in the early 2000s when his company owned the rights to the brand but was forced to stop after funding ran out. The folks at MCN were lucky enough to get a test ride.

Deal's Gap on a Goldwing

Cool video on two guys making a run on Deal's Gap with Goldwings - why did a get a 998 only to complain about riding position? Something tells me these guys are pretty darn comfortable when cruising - and as you can see they are no slouch in the twisties either (to say the least).

La storia della Ducati Superbike

I came across this nice video that I thought I'd share with the other Ducatisti out there. Like many, I'm partial to the 916 body style. I also quite enjoy the aesthetics of the 851/888 and 999 - the 1098 on ther other hand, just does not look quite right to me.
