Customizable Waypoints: Enhance your maps with ride specific information.
So, where's the start? Well that really depends on where you are coming from. To help make it easier, we show you the entry points to every ride. For adventure rides, these trailheads typically are associated with connections to major roads/highways. |
So that's why they call it adventure riding. If it gets you up off the seat, floating downstream, or launching through the air, chances are your friends would love to know about it. If nothing else so they can make sure they don't miss the fun! |
Decreasing radius? Negative-camber? Blind? Know when a turn is not just a turn. Plan your lines so you can be as smooth as "the Doctor." |
Riding is about freedom and enjoying the open road or trail. Don't miss those turnouts and scenic views that make a ride an experience. Preview images and descriptions so you can find that perfect place to propose to your pillion! |
Protein bars and stale hydration pack water only go so far. Find those perfect places to grab a bite and show off that fancy billet thingamajiggy you crufted up in your garage that you KNOW everyone will want you to mass produce. |
Ride don't walk, and surely don't be bossed around by your gas light! Plan your stints so you're never out range of the nearest fuel station or wc. |
Crash in bed! Don't crash on the bike! Find hotels, motels, B&Bs and campgrounds along your route. |
Sometimes things just break. And did you really think you could repair everything w/ that can opener combo knife thing? Locate a local dealership or service station to repair your ride or to simply sneak a peak at that new bike that perfectly does almost exactly what you want. |
Not everything can be categorized, fit to a mold, labeled with a fancy icon, or neatly defined. This is where we put the points of interest that break all the rules and dare to be different....and all the other stuff we don't know what to do with. |
Don't be teased by the other ride sites. We'll not only dangle the twisty routes in your face, but we'll actually tell you how to get there. You just need to know where you are or where you'll be. Once you've got that all worked out, simply select the home icon and enter your starting address (or lat/long coordinate). Then select your trailhead of choice from the pulldown menu. The mapper will connect the locations and append that route to the GPS file. This is really handy when the trailhead is located just past the big rock next to the cactus that looks like Elvis...online maps always seem to screw up that address. |
Add Waypoints to Any Ride: What fun would waypoints be if you couldn't add some yourself to enhance or customize the rides? At SMR we believe your custom content is the heart and soul of the site. To enhance any ride simply press the "Add a Waypoint to this Track" button on the Mapper. We've set up a simple form where you can place a point and add descriptions and media. This is the perfect way to point out those scenic areas and describe the road or trail conditions that make simple roads and trails incredible rides.
Mapping Services: Sunday Morning Rides currently leverages the content of Google Maps, but we don't stop there.
