East Coast Mountains Circle Tour

This ride follows the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Smokey Mountains around Knoxville to its starting point and than continues up the Shenandoah Skyline Drive. Going through Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York State it combines several scenic rides leading to the Adirondacks. From the Adirondacks it circles back west following the Seaway and the shores of lake Ontario and Erie back to Chicago. Definitely recommend the stretch from Knoxville up to the Seaway. Unfortunately the roads following the shores of the Seaway and the lakes often don't allow you to see much of the water and get a little dull after a time.
