Ducati apparel collection for '08

Oct 16, 2007

A more appropriate location for the presentation of the new 2008 Ducati Apparel Collection couldn't be found. The stage for this event will be the Guglielmo Marconi® International Airport in Bologna where, on Thursday, October 18th at 7:30 p.m., the fashion show for the newest clothing items from the motorcycle company of Borgo Panigale will take place. In the A3 area on the ground floor, a real fashion show will be organized that will begin the 'take off' of the newly proposed Ducati clothing line that is already present at Ducati Stores (one of which can be found on the first floor of the airport), perfect for the many fans that are already excited about the recent MotoGP world title won by Casey Stoner in the seat of a Desmosedici.

The 2008 collection was designed by Aldo Drudi, a prestigious name in the world of motorcycling apparel, who has collaborated with Ducati for six years, transferring the essence and passion of this great brand to a line of products capable of expressing the pride of being part of such a strong, winning community.

Just like in every bike that leaves the Ducati production line, the Italian feel comes out in every item in this new collection. The Ducati Corse line is dedicated to and inspired by the world of racing, while the elegance and retro style of the Panigale line bring to mind the history and traditions of this noble motorcycle company through graphics and motifs of the past on the new items. The decidedly urban look of the Motard line joins the aggressiveness and power of the Ducati Hypermotard, a bike with undisputable appeal that has had great success. In addition to all of this, there are even more original and unique items that complete the 2008 collection, like the Tricolour jacket, the new Billboard t-shirts, the Desmo line and the Hi-Tech jacket.

The event will directly involve not only the public that attends, but also the many travellers that take off daily from the Bolognese airport, important on the international scale. Ducati personnel will distribute, both in the airport as well as in the centre of Bologna, vouchers that will be redeemable at the airport Ducati Store for an original gadget.

In addition, for all the Ducatisti®, as well as for everyone that wants to share a sporty, fashionable look, there will be an aperitif organized at 7 p.m. on October 16th at the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna (MAMbo). The items in the Ducati Apparel 2008 collection can be admired (and eventually purchased) next month (November) at www.ducati.com.
