North Dallas to Texoma

This loop is a slow 2 lane ride. I would give yourself a good day to enjoy it. The ride down 289 is scenic, but has quite a bit more traffic, most of the ride on the 2 lane roads has no traffic. The northern part of the ride takes you up to Carpenters Bluff Bridge, a former railroad bridge turned into a one lane car bridge connecting Hendrix, Oklahoma with Carpenters Bluff. The route then heads over to the Texoma Dam area.
