I live in the area and have ridden this route several times. Route 26 is a narrow, twisty, uphill and downhill country road. It runs through pasture, wooded areas, and farm land. There are places where you will need your skills while negotiating a sharp left or right turn while going up or down hill on a 5 or 6 percent grade. Fuel up both the bike and yourself before leaving either Woodsfield on the north or Marrietta on the south. There are no places along the route to do either. There are a couple of old covered bridges which you pass by. At least one is open to vehicular traffic and a small park with gravel roads on the other side. There are several places to pull off and take a break. Several are right on the Little Muskingum river and allow for access to the river. All in all this is a very nice ride for an afternoon with maybe a group. The north to south run allows for stopping in Marrietta and it's several national resturants as a rest stop before heading home. This may not be the famous "Dragon" but it is a fun run.
