This is a nice shortcut if you are riding south on I-55 and plan on heading west on I-40 at Memphis. It is a few miles shorter than staying on the interstate and may save you some time depending on how much traffic is on the interstate. Besides saving time and distance, it is an opportunity to get off the superslab and see a portion of rural Arkansas that has been suffering economically for many years. Take note the roads that this route follows are old highways that have many tight turns due to the roads being laid out along section lines. The only town of any size is Earle, Arkansas. There is not much there, a grocery store and gas. I always take this route myself if I am riding in that area. Have fun and be safe
