This is the route I rode from the Leesburg Bikefest to Thunder Beach in Panama City. It is very scenic with great places to stop, such as Wakulla Springs State Park, great swimming along with a wildlife cruise and glass bottom boat rides. I spent the night in Apalachicola at the Rancho Motel. It was nice, clean, and quite. Be sure to go to Papa Joe's for the best oysters in this part of the country. While riding west on US 98, be sure to ride out to St. Joe State Park and enjoy the dunes and water. This is a great ride and good route from central Florida to the Pan Handle and party atmosphere of Panama City. Enjoy the ride and be safe.
