Big Penn meets Suzy Q. >This is an ambitious, 354 miles, one day loop. The destination is two fold. First there is the Ferry ride in Millersburg PA. Plan to spend about 30 minutes crossing the Susquehanna on the very last remaining paddle boat ferries on the river. If the river is too low or too fast they wont be running but if you do get to ride it, keep your cameras handy.< >Whether or not you cross the river, the next stop is for lunch at Lennys restaurant. Here you can treat yourself to their famous Peanut Butter milk shake. This is not to be missed assuming youre not allergic.< >The first leg of this route starts at the Starbucks on Main Street in Denville, NJ. After preparing yourself with a hot cup of expensive coffee, youll jump onto Rt. 80 and head west towards Rt. 81. The reason for this is to expedite the mileage west so that you have more time to enjoy whats at the end of the rainbow, awesome rural Pennsylvania countryside riding!< >After lunch youll find yourself traveling down some really open and straight back roads that tend to invoke the wild side in most riders. Be warned, LEO is watching. I topped out at slightly over the posted limit a couple of times.< >By the end of this ride in Washington NJ, youll know youve been out all day. Theres something about a route that is packed full of twisting roads with ever changing elevations that seem to wear you out. Your best advised to do this one with a day of rest scheduled afterwards.<
