Governor Joe Manchin III's recommendation

Once a year, I try to meet with a riding buddy from high school who lives in MA (I live in MO). We have met in several places but have settled on WV for our yearly rides. My friends Bill and Marty were stopped at a rest area in northern WV in the rain last fall and met the Governor of West Virginia Joe Manchin III who is a avid motorcyclist. Governor Manchin suggested this route which he said rivaled the famed Blue Ridge Parkway. I have ridden both and this is a great ride. There is plenty of scenery and almost no traffic. What great luck to run into Governor Manchin and act on his recommendation. Be sure to fill up when you get the chance, food and gas is scarce.
