This is a nice, low difficulty ride along the western shore of Lake Mead. It is amazing to see how low the water level of Lake has dropped in the past 5 years. Since the Lake is now part of a controlled National Park, the roads are in excellent shape, although there is a small fee $3 at the entry to the park. It's funny to park at Boulder Beach. My Zumo says I should be underwater. The water level must have dropped nearly 50 feet over the drought. Anyhow, ride continues past Lake Las Vegas and on to Hoover Dam. They are building an incredible bridge to allow folks to cross over the canyon instead of over the dam itself. Once complete its going to be spectacular.
