I have ridden Hwy 142 several times and is my favorite ride going east or west along the border of AR and MO. There and several small town that remind you of Mayberry along the ride. I usually take a swimming suit with me since there are a couple of ideal spots for a swim along this road. Just pull over after crossing the bridge and enjoy the river. Also good fishing if you have the time and a place to bring fishing tackel. Some of the turn are tight and there are places on the road with loose sand and gravel. Ride safe...
