Distance: 115 mi.
This ride begins in Lexington and takes you southwest on Highway 68. It is an open ride until you get close to the Kentucky River just past Wilmore. Beginning riders use caution here. Lots of curves and switchbacks in about 5 miles. Some interesting sites along the way. One can't miss place is The Kickstand LLC. It is a small motorcycle accessory shop in Burgin. On a summer Saturday afternoon you can find lots of friendly riders there.
Since I'm a retired military guy, I can't drive past the Kentucky Vietnam Memorial without stopping and paying my respects.
Take a camera because you will want to take pictures of the mill, covered bridge and the castle.
