Distance: 48.8 mi.
If you can't make it to Deal's Gap (US 129 'The Tail of the Dragon'), take KY 227. This ride is great and a MUST if you're in the area. The road conditions are better if you start in the north and head south. Not much traffic and costant twisties. You don't have to be an expert to ride this route (No difficult turns on hills per say), it just take concentration since you're constantly alternating rights and lefts. If you want to have some more fun, get use to the road, and just keep your speed up. Either way, great road.
