Mesa Grande Road, Santa Ysabel
Ride Description and Comments

This is a short but great road if you are in the Santa Ysabel area. I'll usually take a run if I'm coming from Borrego Springs or Palomar. As the name suggests it takes you across a large mesa just north of Santa Ysabel, cutting the corner of Hwy 76 and Hwy 79. The twisties occur at the north and south ends as you are going up or down the mesa. The north is a bit more twisty than the south, though I think I actually prefer the south as the sightlines on the curves seem to fit my eye perfectly. Watch out for that first corner as the middle section is long and straight enough for you to get going pretty fast. Though I didn't encounter either, I heard that there can be cow poo or even cows in the middle or the road, so take care.
