Utah Hwy 12

There are many good roads to ride in this country but I think this is in the top five. Don't run off the road as you look at the scenery. There is a portion north of Escalante that is on the crest of a hogback ridge. Be sure to check out Cafe Diablo in Torrey be fore you start this ride, their food is exceptional. Head south on Hwy 12 out of Torrey and enjoy the ride. Be sure you top off your fuel tanks before leaving town. There are several scenic turnoffs along this route, I took pictures at several of them. Stop at both Parks Pasture and Roundup Flat before you reach Boulder Utah. When you reach Boulder, stop at Boulder Mesa Cafe for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There food is great and very reasonably priced, fabulous cheeseburgers. We were riding in a group of eight and they were not ready for such a large group to roll in. Continue south on Hwy 12 out of Boulder and enjoy the view as you roll south into the town of Escalante and finally to Hwy 89.
