This is a very scenic route from Strasburg VA to York PA. via Harpers Ferry and Gettysburg. This route is best traveled in the morning due to a high volume of commuter traffic and school buses in the late part of the afternoon. If you leave Starsburg by 10 or 11 am, you should have plenty of time to take in the sights and not run into any heavy traffic. Boonesboro MD and Thurmont MD seems to have the heavest volume of traffic. Hwy 77 in MD is a wonderful ride!
