Short and sweet is the name of the game here. This is one of those rides that works great if just have an hour and need a fix. The start point for this ride is the gas station at Scripps Poway Parkway and I15. Simply take Scripps Poway out to the 67 southbound. If you're like me, you'll recognize the last couple of miles up Scripps Poway as a reasonable place to calibrate your speedo. Once on the 67 head south to Lake Jennings Park Rd. or more directly to Willow Rd and head east. Both will connect you to Wildcat Canyon Rd.. Wildcat is basically the road leading up to Barona. While the first leg (up to the casino entrance) is usually plagued by traffic, the second leg past the casino is quite fun. Watch out for the left hand dip as you come up on the high school. It's not a particularly difficult hazard, just a place where I almost lost it. From there you'll be treated to some nice running straights into the desert falling into some tight blind turns as you approach the Speedway. The road tightens up even more from there on before you are dumped off at San Vincente Rd.. If you turn left here you'll head straight into downtown Ramona where you can head back down to the 67 and onto Scripps Poway Pkwy.
