This is a great run through western Oregon logging country. The scenery is magnificent and the roads are fairly open with the exception of the occasional logging truck. Start in Scappoose and head northwest on the Scappoose-Vernonia Hwy. Expect a great stretch of twisties as you wind up to Mist, OR and the highlight of this ride, the mighty 47 to Clatscanie (Mist Clatscanie Hwy). This short stretch of road (~12 miles) is a motorcyclist's dream and local favorite with seemingly endless turns through the forest - most of which can be taken at a fast pace. Turn around in Clatscanie and return to Mist. You'll undoubtedly want to repeat this leg. When you're done continue from Mist down the 202 and connect with Fishhawk Falls Hwy 103 S - a really smooth run to end the ride that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. This is great country worth exploring...who knows you might even spot Sasquatch!
