Easting east from Apache Junction, the 'Apache Trail' is composed of state route 88 and 188 ending in Claypool. As you head into the moutains be prepared for a spectacular view of moutains, deserts and canyons. It is along these twists, turns, and elevation that the road follows. Along the way you'll pass three lakes and several scenic areas so be prepared to stop and take in the view. Tortilla Flat (just past Canyon Lake) is a popular moto stop.
Apache Trail is where Ducati sent a bunch of journalists out to test the new Hypermotard 1100 EVO.
