The best time for this ride is early November to mid December. The mosquitoes are minimal at that time, as is the traffic. There is a fee to enter the park, unless you have an annual park pass, but it's worth every nickel. Avoid this ride during June - September, the bugs, lightning, and heat would take much of the fun out of it.
