A casual roll along the Lake Erie shoreline is highlighted in this run from Mentor to Catawba Island. Take either the SR 53 or Sand Road exit off of SR 2. Both meet each other at Catawba Point, in a loop around the peninsula. There is a couple of nice parks on the peninsula including the Catawba Island State park and the East Harbor State Park. After soaking up the views, swing by the Marblehead Lighthouse for another quick photo-op and then reconnect with the 269 and SR 2. On your way back through Sandusky, finish up at Shifter's Bar and Grill for a biker friendly lunch and a tour of the Roeder Harley-Davidson dealership that is attached to the facility.
