Since I live in Lexington, most of my rides start there. Start this ride early because you will want to spend some time site seeing. First stop is Bardstown. There are great places to have breakfast or lunch in downtown Bardstown. In the summer there are tons of other bikes in town. It is a very popular location for Louisville riders. Don't miss the tour of Steve Foster's My Old Kentucky State Park.
Next stop is the community of Loretta and the Maker's Mark Distillery. Tours are free and you can even purchase a bottle of bourbon that you can hand dip in their famous red wax. Next to the Perryville Civil War Battlefield than back to The Kickstand. I normally stop by there and dream about accessories for my Honda Shadow 750 that I can't afford.
