Antrim Coast Road and Glens
Ride Description and Comments
Contributer: Doghandler (09-10-2009)
Distance: 168.5 mi.
Route leaves Larne Harbour in Northern Ireland and travels along the North Antrim Coast Road through picturesque villages and over Torr Head where the sheer drops make you stay away from the edges. After reaching Ballycastle the route turns inland through the Glens and valleys and over the Antrim Hills and past Slemish mountain where St Patrick kept his sheep before it returns to Larne Harbour. Total milage on the route is just over 110 and takes between 2.5 and 5 hours depending on how many tea/coffee stops you have and how many pics you want to take. Video in gallery.
