SMR now offers smaller embed-able maps sizes - like the one to the right. Look for the code in the "Embed this Map" section on the ride map page.
In that section you'll also see a link for a "SMR Mobile URL" - this is a direct link to the mobile version of a map. Use is handy if you use an online bookmarking service betweeen your devides.

Based on community feedback we've made some changes to look-and-feel and organization of the maps page. We've also added a 'Share' button that allows you share and/or bookmark your favorite ride.

We are happy to announce the launch of MyRides! The latter is a collection of customizable pages to showcase our top ride contributors. Browse rides by user, organized by rank (gold, silver, and bronze). MyRide "Profile" pages are customizable. Add images and descriptions to customize your page...then share your profile with your friends! Your unique MyRides page will be generated when you contribute at least 5 rides. In the near future, we will be adding support for clubs, sponsors, and affiliate contributors!

SMR now includes ride downloads in native TomTom format. Look for the 
icon the download page. Please note that TomTom requires two seperate files: one for the track/itenary (.itn) and another for the waypoints/POI (.asc).

Zoom control on all maps can now be controlled via the scroll wheel on your mouse (scrolling up will zoom in).
If you've visited the image gallery from the Long Beach Motorcycle Show recently you've probably noticed that the images in the galleries now have captions. We'll make every effort to caption all images in the future and will also add captions to older galleries as we get a chance.

The MotoGP Circuits iGoogle Gadget has been updated for the 2008 season. The World SBK gadget will be updated as soon as the new schedule is finalized by the FIM.

SMR now includes ride downloads in native Magellan format. While GPX file format is an industry adopted standard and works with all major GPS manufacturers, many of the folks stopping by the booth at the Cycle World IMS at Long Beach this last weekend indicated a preference for files in Magellan format - so now all rides can be downloaded in Magellan SD file format. Look for the 
icon the download page. Also look for native TomTom support in the near future.

With the influx of requests for the standard SMR T-shirt, we decided to step up to the plate and offer you a few more options. Today we launched our new T-Shirt shop, SMR DESIGN! This new store features 24 original designs with over a 100 different products. Our goal with SMR DESIGN is to capture the attitude and spirit of Sunday Morning Rides and of motorcycling in general. We hope you like the store and we're looking forward to seeing you all sporting a product from one of our lines. If you like the designs, send us some feedback. You've probably noticed that we added a few different top banners into the mix to better reflect the diversity of riders that visit.
We've also added a motorcycle news section to bring you the latest news stories from the motorcycling community. We applied for and have been approved by a number of motorcycle manufacturers to provide you with the lastest stories and images. So check back often for the latest news.
A ride listing for the Americade Touring Rally has been added to the motorcycle rally listings.
July 27, 2007:
We've added a motorcycle rally section where you can search for roads and rides in the surrounding area. We'll be adding more rallies in the oncoming weeks so check back for updates. Feel free to send us rally suggestions at rides@sundaymorningrides.com and we'll start a page. Like all ride maps at SMR, these rally maps are easily embedded into your website or blog. Just look for the Embed code under the map.
We've also improved the algorithm for loading the Road Region map, so it should load a bit faster (it still takes a few seconds to load over 450 rides).

Thanks for TerrySC for being the first to contribute a POI file with locations with motorcycle specific cabins and campgrounds. You can find the map and poi file at the new SMR POIs section. Also choose POI files from 14 different motorcycle locations.
Also updated is the recent contributions listing. The page has been improved for faster loading and now has a counter showing the number new rides contributed in the current month.

Look for the new "Print Size" icon at the top left of every map. We've increased the size of the print view and made the large map fully interactive. Customize the map to your needs (zoom, active waypoints, etc.) then print for your tank bag or simply use it for better viewing on your 30" monitor.
